In 1987, street skating was becoming increasingly popular. Steve Caballero, a skilled vert skater, was also a strong competitor in the "Street-Style" scene. Powell-Peralta recognized this trend and released a new Cab deck model specifically for street skating. The design, created by artist V.C. Johnson, featured a new dragon graphic against a background of bats and bones. Cab's name was incorporated into the bat shape, as he was a big fan of Batman during that time. The Powell-Peralta logo was made using the Animal Chin font, reflecting the cultural influences of the era.
